Lilywhites won't rush Davidson back

The full-back suffered a ripped hamstring while on international duty with Scotland in September and Irvine has immediately dismissed suggestions of a return by ruling Davidson out of next week's league fixture against QPR. "We can't rush it, we have to be very careful with Callum's recovery schedule," Davidson told the Lancashire Evening Post. "It's difficult to put a timescale on when he will be ready again - it has got to be right. "If we bring Callum back too quickly and it goes again then we could be looking at much longer and we certainly don't want that."
