Jones blow for Lilywhites

Preston North End will be without Billy Jones for around four weeks after the defender was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Jones has also been forced to withdraw from the England Under-21 squad to face Bulgaria and Portugal this month.

He was called up by Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce for the last international get-together, but failed to make an appearance against either Montenegro or Republic of Ireland.

The 20-year-old joined the Lilywhites from Crewe Alexandra in the summer and has made 12 appearances for the Championship strugglers.
