Irvine turns down Baggies

Preston North End boss Alan Irvine has vowed to carry on at Deepdale after rejecting the chance to succeed Tony Mowbray as West Brom's manager.
The Baggies are keen to find a replacement for Mowbray, who opted to leave The Hawthorns and join Celtic earlier this month.
They had targeted Irvine, but Preston chairman Derek Shaw told the club's official website: "Over the weekend I was approached by West Bromwich Albion.
"Alan was given permission to speak to West Brom, but has chosen to remain as Preston's manager, which we are extremely pleased about."
