Irvine rues Williamson miss

Preston North End boss Alan Irvine has admitted to being disappointed at missing out on the permanent signing of midfielder Lee Williamson.
The 27-year-old ended last season on loan with the Lilywhites, but opted for a move to Sheffield United after being allowed to leave Watford this summer.
Irvine told his club's official website: "Lee was someone who impressed us during his loan spell and we agreed a fee with Watford as he was someone we would have liked to bring to the club.
"We spoke to Lee and he said he enjoyed his time with us, but he is able to travel from his family home every day to training with Sheffield United and does not have to move.
"That has been a major factor in his decision."
