Irvine offers Ormerod hope

Preston North End manager Alan Irvine has told Brett Ormerod that he still has a future at Deepdale.
The 31-year-old spent the last two months of the 2007-08 campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest after dropping out of the Championship side's starting line-up under Irvine's tutelage.
However, the North End boss told the BBC: "I've known Brett for a long time. He loves his football and is desperate to play.
"He has an opportunity like all the others to get himself in to the team.
"The way that I work is, if players can get themselves in good condition for when they come back (for pre-season training), then they have a fighting chance of getting in to the team on the first day of the season."
