Preston North End boss Alan Irvine had no complains after seeing his below-par side beaten 4-1 at Swansea City on Tuesday night.
The promotion chasing Deepdale outfit were slow out of the blocks at the Liberty Stadium and never recovered from falling two goals behind inside the opening 30 minutes.
"The best team won, without any doubt," admitted Irvine.
"They were far better than us from start to finish. We didn't pass the ball well enough all the way throughout the game and we conceded some very poor goals.
"It was probably the worst performance we've put in this season, but credit to Swansea.
"They were a fantastic team tonight. They passed the ball extremely well and their movement was excellent.
"It's always difficult to quantify what made their performance so good and what made ours bad, but they were certainly very good on the night."
