Irvine: Hard work ahead for players

Published: 10 Nov 2009 - 11:14:00

Irvine has taken his squad to La Manga for a four-day break to help fill the 16-day gap between games during the international break. North End were awful during Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Watford and Irvine believes the training camp can help to recharge their batteries. He said: "We are going out there to train extremely hard. "We are planning to do double sessions and we will probably do some video work as well during the time we are away. "It's very much a training camp and not a holiday camp."
