Injury woe for Agyemang

Preston North End striker Patrick Agyemang suffered a thigh injury during the 1-0 victory at home to ten-man Barnsley at Deepdale.

The 25-year-old has hit a rich vein of form with three goals in his last four games, but had to leave the action at half-time against the Tykes.

Lilywhites boss Paul Simpson said after the game: "He got a slight strain at the top of his thigh and felt uncomfortable with it.

"I wanted him to go out and give it five or ten minutes, but he wasn't right in his own mind so we took him off.

"I think that was another thing we lost in the second half, we lost that pace and strength he gives us up front.

"We did look a different side then, but it's a victory."
