Ferguson relishing tricky trips

Published: 18 Mar 2010 - 10:46:42

North End surrendered vital ground in the race for a play-off spot on Tuesday when letting a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 at home to Sheffield Wednesday. Victory would have moved Ferguson's men into the top half of the table and closer to the top six, but the Deepdale boss is not giving up hope. "There is a small difference between mid-table and being successful," said Ferguson ahead of Saturday's trip to The Hawthorns. "We could have got to 50 points and would have been in the top half and I think that's where we should be at least. Then you never know what can happen. "But now we have two tough away games and we have to be ready for those."
