Ferguson fumes at stoppage time
Published : 04 Dec 2010 19:00:39
Preston boss Darren Ferguson was left to rue the addition of five minutes of stoppage time as his strugglers were denied a huge win at Cardiff.Michael Tonge's deflected free-kick had put North End on track for the win until Andy Keogh levelled matters deep into added time.Ferguson said: "When you get to 94 minutes in the match and are still winning it is very disappointing to concede such a late goal."It feels a little bit like a defeat, but if we keep up that level of performance then I am sure we are going to be okay."We started off well as we were aware that Cardiff have lost their last two home matches and with Jay Bothroyd going off so early it also gave us a lift."I really couldn't see them scoring but where the five minutes added time came from I don't know. It seems as though it was plucked out of the air. It would have been nice to get the win but we have to take the positives out of it as I still think Cardiff will be promoted."
