Ferguson - Forest deserved to win
Preston boss Darren Ferguson conceded his side had gone down to a better team after Nottingham Forest's 2-1 win condemned North End to a fifth defeat in six games.Ferguson's men lost 4-3 at Burnley on Saturday, despite leading 3-1 with six minutes remaining, and Ferguson's angry reaction to referee Kevin Friend at Turf Moor led to him being charged by the Football Association with improper conduct.A superb double from 21-year-old Forest midfielder Lewis McGugan cancelled out Jon Parkin's 42nd minute opener, with former Peterborough manager Ferguson admitting he could have few complaints."We never really got going, passing-wise and energy-wise," he said. "Forest were the better team. They passed the ball better and seemed to have more energy."At half-time I thought we would go on and win it, but unfortunately there really wasn't any improvement in the performance in the second half."The real disappointment was letting a lead slip again."
