Preston North End manager Billy Davies has made Bournemouth midfielder Brian Stock his second signing of the month.
The 24-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Deepdale until 2010 after the two clubs agreed an initial transfer fee of £100,000 that could eventually rise to more than £150,000.
"We've added a quality midfield player to the squad," a delighted Davies told the club's official website.
"Brian has an excellent football brain and is a very good footballer and we are looking forward to working with him."
Bury's Simon Whaley made the switch to Deepdale earlier in the month.
