Brown eyeing North End additions

Preston boss Phil Brown is hoping to bolster his squad with new signings before the transfer window closes.The Deepdale outfit remain seven points adrift of safety in the npower Championship and lie bottom of the table, yet Brown is working hard to attract fresh faces.He said: "Fingers crossed we will do some more business this week."We have a couple of irons in the fire with regards to one or two players coming in on loan and we also have a couple of irons in the fire for players coming in on a permanent basis."There is a bit of business to be done but it would be remiss of me to talk much about that after the commitment shown by the present group of players."
