Brown backs North End loanees
Preston defender Wayne Brown believes the club`s recent triple loan swoop could be just the thing the team needs to turn around their season. The Lilywhites, who are currently bottom of the Championship, six points from safety having only won one of their last nine league matches, brought in Stoke duo Michael Tonge and Danny Pugh as well as Ritchie De Laet from Manchester United last week.Brown told the Lancashire Evening Post: "The gaffer being able to bring in these three lads is something which we have been crying out for all season. They'll give us a bit of nous and experience. And without putting too much pressure on them, they can be big members of the squad for us."When they arrived for training last week it gave everyone here a big lift. The loan system is superb when used properly. None of the lads were getting a sniff at their clubs, so coming in on loan has given them an opportunity to get their match-fitness up."Michael and Danny are two very experienced players who have played a lot of games, while Ritchie has a lot of potential. Speaking to them over the last few days, they think we aren't a million miles away from getting things right. It's a case of being a bit more organised and passing the ball better."He added: "It is frustrating to be where we are in the table, I can quite understand why the fans are unhappy. They have been used to the club being at the other end of the table trying to get into the play-offs. We've got Millwall next on Saturday and we need to get a result from that."
