Preston North End boss Alan Irvine was understandably delighted after their 3-0 away victory at Barnsley on Tuesday evening.
With Paul Parry having a hand in all three goals, the new signing from Cardiff City received the plaudits as the Deepdale side grabbed their first win of the season to remain unbeaten.
"It's a good position to be in, to give us real competition for places," he said.
"I made five changes tonight to freshen things up tonight and I don't think anyone can think for a moment that it weakened the team.
"He (Paul Parry) was very good, I've been delighted with him since he came in."
