Richard Wright has left the club with immediate effect after less than one week of pre-season without even playing a game or a pre-season match for Preston.
It is probably the shortest stay for a Preston player who has signed on a full term contract. Wright failed to settle away from his young family and decided to be up front about the situation with the manager and it was agreed that his contract would come to an end.
Preston are now looking at alternative targets to bring to the club in the goalkeeping position.
