Whaley intent on playing a part

North End have not been resided in the top flight of English football since 1961 but they are looking a strong bet to finish in the play-off places. And Whaley, who has re-established himself at Deepdale after being shipped out on loan to Championship rivals Barnsley earlier in the season, is determined to play his part. He said: "Football is a strange game. One week you can be rock bottom and think your career is over, the next you are on top of your game. "But if I can go into each game with such a positive attitude it shouldn't be a problem."
