North End sit 5 points off the drop zone having won only one of their last 14 games. Westley was under fire last night from fans after an abysmal run.
It is unclear if Westley was actually sacked after reprots seemed to suggest that he tndered his resignation even though this appears to be in dispute.
Allegedly he was asked to resign, refused and then within an hour had left the club. It has not been described as a sacking or a mutual consent job but all we know is that Westley is no longer in charge of the club.
