West Brom Lose Interest In Lonergan

14 July 2010 13:07
After speculation was rife that West Brom were interested in taking keeper Andy Lonergan it seems that any move is now off. Darren Ferguson has stated that he wants to keep the highly rated shop stopper despite West Brom initially being interested. Any move seemed to hit the buffers when the Baggies were put off Preston's £3m price tag and there would be a potential problem for Lonergan himself who would only be a number 2 to Scott Carson. West Brom now appear to have turned their attention to tracking Lee Grant in an attempt to tempt him to the Hawthorns to act as a number 2 to Scott Carson.
