Wellbeck Scan Scare
Danny Wellbeck was set to return to Deepdale on Thursday after completing training at Carrington on Tuesday and Wednesday. Wellbeck had an inflammed knee but all seemed fine on Tuesday evening. He was to have a final training session at United before returning to Preston on Thursday. Unfortunately, the injury flared up again on Wednesday and Wellbeck is out of this Saturday's game. Wellbeck will have a scan on what is though to be a cartilage problem on Monday. It is thought that he may need an operation which will mean an end to his loan spell as it will see him out for the rest of the season.
