Welbeck set to make Preston debut
The 19-year-old Manchester United striker joined North End on loan for the rest of the season on Monday and is set to make his debut at London Road.[LNB]Welbeck, who becomes Darren Ferguson's first signing as Preston boss, has scored five goals in 24 appearances for United.[LNB]However, Ferguson will again be without Paul Parry and Barry Nicholson as he prepares to return to his former club.[LNB]Former Cardiff winger Parry remains sidelined with a knee problem while midfielder Barry Nicholson (broken leg) is a long-term absentee.[LNB]Ex-Posh boss Ferguson is seeking his first win since taking over at Preston and said: "I'd be slightly disappointed if I didn't get a good reception."[LNB][LNB]
