Ward joins North End coaching staff

12 January 2010 06:07
The much-travelled Ward, 35, has joined North End as goalkeeping coaching capacity after working with Ferguson at Peterborough.

Ferguson said: "I brought him to Peterborough and he wasn't there long before I left and he's obviously remained there until now.

"He's very professional, a very good goalkeeper himself, very hard working which is what I look for in my staff. It's important that I set the right example with my work ethic and that goes all the way down to the players through the staff and that's what he brings.

"He's very good at his job and I know that the two goalkeepers are looking forward to working with him."
