Wallace revelling in Scotland call
The 24-year-old has been called up into George Burley's squad for the friendly fixture after showing fine form for his club.
Dundee-born Wallace is one of three uncapped players in Burley's 22-man squad, along with Leeds winger Robert Snodgrass and Daniel Fox from Celtic.
Wallace said: "Japan is quite a first trip. We fly out on Wednesday and back on Sunday, so I'll probably end up with jet lag - but I'm really pleased.
"I've just kept plugging away hoping the call-up would eventually come."
