Preston boss Phil Brown will assess the fitness of several players ahead of the home clash with promotion-chasing Leeds.

Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and defender Craig Morgan missed Saturday`s 1-1 draw at Norwich with a gastric-flu bug. Striker Nathan Ellington turned his ankle during the warm-up and his place in the starting line-up went to Paul Hayes.

Midfielder Barry Nicholson picked up a calf injury in the first half at Carrow Road and defender Leon Cort sustained a hamstring strain.

David Gray left the pitch on a stretcher with a shin injury in the closing stages and Sean St Ledger and Billy Jones also picked up knocks.

Brown will check on all of his walking wounded as he seeks to record his first win since his appointment in January.
