Two Goal Lead Slips Away

Preston let a two goal lead slip away at Watford as they managed to cling on to a point away from home. Sean St Ledger gave the visitors the lead within sixty seconds which was the perfect start after a shot shy display at Hull on Saturday. Loan signing Leon Clarke doubled North End's lead before the break against a Watford side that has failed to win their last five games. Unfortunately, Preston having won only five games all season conceded two goals within a ten minute period in the second half but they held on for the last twenty minutes to pick up a point which will be little consolation in the long run.
