Trundle Parts On Amicable Terms

Preston confirmed that Lee Trundle has left the club after agreeing the cancellation of his one year deal.

Westley has been criticised for some of his signings and certainly for releasing some of his own players. Trundle was signed by Westley but it was an unfortunate set of circumstances that stopped the frontman from reaching anywhere near his best.

Only a week or so after Trundle was signed on a one year deal he was on the end of a horrific tackle in pre-season at Morecambe. He was ruled out for at least four months. The striker did come back briefy before suffering further injury and a torn hamstring at turn of the year meant that he would be out for some considerable time.

Trundle cannot play for another club until the new season and it is expected he will take up more media commitments whilst winding down his playing career.
