Trotman Joins Rochdale

Former Preston player Neal Trotman has signed for Rochdale on a two year deal after leaving the Whites earlier this summer. Trotman was signed as an exciting prospect by the club but after a falling out with Alan Irvine he was sent out on loan and very rarely seen again under Irvine, Ferguson and then Brown. Despite a shortage of defenders, Brown never saw Trotman play at Deepdale as he was out on loan at Deepdale but most likely due to his wages he was released upon the expiry of his contract. The centre back hooked up with Doncaster for pre-season training but failed to secure a deal. It was thought he may move to Plymouth but has managed to secure a deal at Rochdale back in the North West.
