Treacy Out In The Cold
Keith Treacy is somewhat confused as to what the immediate future holds for him and whether he will still be at Preston when the season starts in six days time. The winger has tweeted that he turned up to the ground expecting to play in Preston's final pre-season friendly today but was told by manager Brown that he would not even be on the bench for the match. It appears that no explanation was given or at least both parties have declined to reveal why he was not selected although the side as a whole was under strength. Rumours are circulating that Preston may now have received a bid in the region of £1.5m for the international although Treacy has confirmed that he is unaware of any offer that has been accepted by the club as of early Sunday evening.
