Treacy In Burnley Talks

31 July 2011 20:05
As earlier thought, Keith Treacy was left out of today's final pre-season game due to a bid having been accepted by Burnley. Preston have turned down three bids for Treacy but Burnley now appear to have reached Preston's asking price of £1.5m with 40% of that figure going to Blackburn as a sell on clause. The Clarets have chased the winger all close season who has stressed he wants to play at a high level. He turned up to play today but prior to the game was told by the chairman that a condition of the bid being accepted was that he did not play today. It is also unclear if Adam Barton was alos left out in similar circumstances but a long statement about Treacy's sale has been put on the official website and was sanctioned by Trevor Hemmings seemingly against the wishes of Phil Brown.
