Striker Swap

Preston and Barnsley have managed to iron out any differences over the loan spell of Iain Hume. Both clubs today confirmed that Iain Hume would continue his loan spell until 15 December. Technically he could have been recalled today due to a clause in his contract but Barnsley have allowed him to stay. Paul Hayes has been allowed to go in the opposite direction and has joined Barnsley on loan until 1 January 2010. It is though that this was the proposed deal last week when talks appeared to break down. Hume will now face his old club, Leicester at the weekend.
