Stoke Target Lonergan Move

27 September 2010 15:36
Sources in the national press have linked Stoke City with a move for Preston keeper Andy Lonergan. Stoke who have Danish keeper Sorenson between the sticks at the moment are apparently in the market for a new keeper. Tony Pulis is set to make a move for Lonergan during the January transfer window but reports reveal that Preston value the stopper at around £2 million. If sources are to be believed then Darren Ferguson has already lined up a replacement for Lonergan in the form of Tottenham young keeper Ben Alnwick. If Preston can make money on the deal then it is certainly something that the chairman will be considering seriously.
