Scott Laird has strongly been linked with a move to Deepdale and this has now been further accelerated as the left back rejected the offer of a new contract from Stevenage. Whilst there has been no formal talk of the transfer it isunderstood that Laird who is out of contract ill leave Stevenage to join his former boss and the deal will be announced this week.
Another player out of contract at Stevenage is John Mousinho. The striker has also rejected new terms at Stevenage and would cost North End nothing if Westley decided to move for the player.
