St Ledger in line to face Blades

27 December 2009 11:18
St Ledger has returned to Deepdale after deciding against completing a permanent move to Middlesbrough, where he has spent the last three months on loan. And he could be drafted straight back into Alan Irvine's starting XI as North End look to turn around their recent poor form.[LNB]Irvine's men have won just one of their last nine matches but should be fresh for the trip to Bramall Lane after their Boxing Day clash with Barnsley fell victim to the weather.[LNB]The postponement ensures Ross Wallace remains suspended for Monday's game after he was booked for the fifth time this season in the recent 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.[LNB]Skipper Callum Davidson is hopeful of being fit despite limping off late on against Forest with cramp in his hamstring.[LNB]But French centre-half Youl Mawene (knee ligaments) and midfielder Barry Nicholson (broken leg) remain sidelined until the new year.[LNB][LNB]
