St Ledger in buoyant mood

Preston defender Sean St Ledger is hoping his side can continue their impressive run of form at Derby this weekend. North End lost six out of their opening seven matches and looked destined for a fight with relegation. Yet Darren Ferguson's men will head to Pride Park in buoyant mood after collecting seven points from their last three games. St Ledger, who scored in the Republic of Ireland`s 1-1 draw with Slovakia on Tuesday night, told the Evening Post: "Taking seven points from a possible nine was decent. We had a tough start to the season when we didn't pick up many points, but we did a lot better against Coventry, Leeds and Reading. "On paper we've got some games coming up which look winnable, a lot of them are against sides around us in the table. It's our job to make sure we pick up a decent number of points from them."
