A day ahead of the geenral release of the ficxture list, the Football League have announced a special set of matches for the opening weekend of the season involving the founder members of the Football League.
The Football League is celebrating the 12 years anniversary and the founder clubs are set to play each other where possible on the opening weekend of the season in their respective leagues.
Preston will host Wolves who were relegated last season from the Championship in what will be a bumper fixture for Preston. It will also be a tough start for the season.
