Six In A Row

17 September 2011 16:59
Preston continued their impressive start to the season by defeating Brentford in West London to complete their sixth win in a row. Neil Mellor bagged a brace to take his tally to six as Preston maintain their impressive start to the season which keeps them in touch with the leaders despite having played two games less than most other sides around them. Preston took the lead thanks to Neil Mellor who seems to be rejuvenated under Phil Brown this season. The tenth minute goal was soon cancelled out as Brentford equalised just after the twenty minute mark. The Whites who have looked strong going forward this season regained the lead just before half time. Iain Hume scored another curling effort to add to his stunning goal against Scunthorpe. Mellor then wrapped up the scoring with around twenty minutes to go after Proctor played in his fellow frontman. Preston now retrunr home before another long trip to Southampton in the cup in midweek.
