Preston's second string edged out a Shrewsbury second eleven to take all three points. Trotman and Chaplow played the full ninety minutes as the loan market is open for them to move out. Danny Mayor also played the full match despite coming on as a substitute the previosu evening against Forest. It was youngsters Jamie Douglas with a double and Miller who scored the goals for Preston to give them a vital win.
