Risdale Announces Redundancies

Preston chairman, Peter Risdale, has announced that 11 off field jobs are at risk of redundancy after a review as undertaken of Preston's off field spending.

The first to leave are Jamie Hoyland and Dean Ramsdale ho have enjoyed a terrific time restructuring the Preston youth regime over the past few years. The pair were brought in by Billy Davies to overhaul the youth system due to a failure of youngsters making the breakthrough into the first team.

In their time at the club the youth team have won numerous titles including a league and cup double last season although only to apprentices were offered first team contracts.

Danny Mayor, Adam Barton and Jamie Proctor have all been a success of the youth team over the past number of season and the good work done by Hoyland and Ransdale has seen success with others having played at first team level.

There appears to be no connection between Westley and the redundancies but this just appears to be a cost cutting exercise that needed to be done.

On the positive side Graham Alexander has been handed the role of heading up the youth section at Preston in place of Hoyland and Ramsdale who will leave later this year.
