Proctor Out Until Christmas

Jamie Proctor will play through the pain barrier for the next two games before facing a spell on the sidelines of six weeks.

Proctor has a hernia problem which needs an operation and so was rested at the weekend against Huddersfield. Due to the striker shortage, Proctor will play alongside Tsoumou tonight and on Saturday if he is not feeling any ill effects.

Phil Brown has said that the striker can play through the pain but has been pencilled in for an operation on 1 November which will then keep him out for 6 weeks. It is hoped that both Hume and Mellor will be fit by the time Proctor goes under the knife.
