The 26-year-old was given his marching orders following a tussle with Blues' midfielder Lee Bowyer on the hour mark.[LNB]However, the Championship club will be unable to get Ross Wallace's dismissal rescinded after the winger picked up his second yellow card for taking off his shirt in celebration of his last-gasp winner.[LNB]Irvine told the Lancashire Evening Post: "I don't think Lee did an awful lot wrong. I hope that [referee] Phil Dowd will be able to have a look at it and make a decision about whether it should be rescinded.[LNB]"Having had a look at it myself I would expect we will be appealing. The two lads had their foreheads together and maybe that is what the referee claims. But I don't think there were head-butts from either player to be perfectly honest.[LNB]"I think it was probably two yellow cards. Unfortunately, Lee Bowyer had already had a yellow card so I don't know whether that made any difference to the outcome."[LNB][LNB]
