Humphrey back for North End

Unbeaten Preston will have Chris Humphrey back from international duty when they try and get one over former boss Graham Westley and Stevenage.

Winger Humphrey missed Monday's narrow win over Oldham while he was on international duty with Jamaica, yet returns to Simon Grayson's squad for the meeting with his predecessor Westley.

North End have yet to field the same XI for two games on the spin and that statistic looks likely to continue with Humphrey's comeback, despite their recent run of good form.

Kevin Davies and Stuart Beavon both opened their accounts for the season against Latics and should be partnered in attack once again with just Jack King (foot) sidelined. Jeffrey Monokana has gone to Colchester on loan.

Westley has a number of injury problems as he prepares for the trip.

Midfielder James Dunne is out for a fortnight after picking up a knock in training and striker Darius Charles is a doubt with an ankle problem.

Winger Lucas Akins faces another couple of months on the sidelines with his ankle injury and defender Ben Chorley is not yet ready to return from the groin problem which has kept him out all season.

As well as Westley, goalkeeper Chris Day and full-back David Gray will also be facing their old club.
