Grayson waits on Brownhill

Preston boss Simon Grayson is sweating on the fitness of Josh Brownhill as he prepares his side for their FA Cup fourth-round replay against Nottingham Forest.

Grayson admitted the teenage midfielder is "touch and go" with the groin injury that forced him to miss the weekend victory over Notts County.

Veteran striker Kevin Davies hands Grayson a boost as he returns after serving a three-match suspension.

Nottingham Forest hope to be boosted by the return of two players to their squad.

Eric Lichaj and David Vaughan sat out Sunday's 3-1 win over Yeovil but the duo are optimistic of returning to action at Deepdale.

Chris Cohen (knee), Dexter Blackstock (knee) and Kelvin Wilson (back) remain on the sidelines even though they are progressing well on the road to recovery.

Forest are now 13 games unbeaten going into the trip and have not been beaten away from home since October 26 and boss Billy Davies is unlikely to make too many changes against a North End side who frustrated Forest during a goalless draw last month.

But fellow frontman Craig Davies is cup-tied having played for parent club Bolton in their defeat to Cardiff in the same round.
