North End monitoring Wiseman

Preston will wait on the results of Scott Wiseman's knee scan before determining his eligibility to face Crawley.

The right-back came off in the 3-1 win over Peterborough in midweek and North End could be forced to fill the void again and may choose to switch formation to fit in wing-back Chris Humphrey.

Defender Tom Clarke is expected to overcome a hamstring problem while midfielder Josh Brownhill's groin problem is not considered too serious.

Boss Simon Grayson explained both of them could have featured against Posh on Tuesday but he exercised caution with a glut of fixtures still to come.

Crawley will add wingers Gwion Edwards and Jeffrey Monakana to their squad.

Wales Under-21 international Edwards has joined Town on a one-month loan from Swansea and former North End youngster Monakana signed on a similar deal from Brighton.

Skipper Josh Simpson is a doubt after missing the 2-0 midweek defeat by Sheffield United with a hamstring strain while defender Kyle McFadzean is suspended after collecting his 10th yellow card against the Blades.

Boss John Gregory is likely to continue to rotate his squad so Preston-born striker Jamie Proctor, a second-half substitute against the Blades, will be hoping to start against his former club.
