Wiseman set for first start

Preston boss Simon Grayson could hand a full debut to Scott Wiseman when they entertain Coventry at Deepdale.

The right-back joined on an 18-month contract following his release from Barnsley and made the bench against Wolves, but was ineligible for the FA Cup third-round replay win over Ipswich because he had signed prior to the original clash.

Grayson shuffled his pack on that occasion and top scorer Joe Garner came off the bench to net a hat-trick, ensuring he will almost certainly return to the starting XI in attack.

Captain John Welsh and midfielder Neil Kilkenny, both rested in midweek, are among those likely to come back in given Grayson has an injury-free squad to select from.

Wantaway striker Leon Clarke is in contention for Coventry.

Clarke, City's leading scorer with 18 goals to his name this season, handed in a formal transfer request on Monday but is still expected to lead the line at Deepdale having overcome a groin injury.

Fellow frontman Callum Wilson, who has netted 15 times this term, remains sidelined for the long-term with a dislocated shoulder.

Defender Dan Seaborne returns to the frame for the Sky Blues having this week signed a permanent deal, coming after his recent loan stay from Yeovil expired.
