It was inevitable that North End would have to spend some cash at some point to bring in some players in the forward department. Peter Risdale has now confirmed they have bid for an unamed striker but the bid has been rejected. The chairman confirmed that they will not pay over the odds for a frontman which may mean that new arrivals may be sparse in the forward department.
