Preston In Freefall

05 April 2010 17:24
Unsurprisingly Preston lose on the road again away at Crystal Palace who are fighting their way out of the relegation zone. Preston have failed to win their last six winning only three of their last sixteen games and are now beoming embroiled in a relegation battle with four games remaining and five points clear of the drop zone. Preston took the lead at Palace thanks to a goal on the break from Treacy who bagged his first for the club. Preston were overpowered as Palace dominated the game and ended up winning three one. Preston's away record has been appalling with only one away victory since the end of October. North End now face fellow strugglers Scunthorpe in what is fast becoming a crucial game if Preston are to be safe. They are unlikely to pick up any points on this form away at Reading and Coventry with a tough last home game against play off chasing Leicester.
