National sources confirm that Preston and QPR are in a race to sign Doncaster midfielder Martin Woods. Ferguson has coveted Woods and tried to sign him back in January but it is now thought he is set to persue his interest to bolster the midfield positions at Preston. QPR are also interested in the Doncaster player.
