Preston made their second draw in succession after Saturday's goalless effort at Portsmouth. Goals from King, Proctor and Beavon gave North End the lead three times against Bury only for them to be pegged back on each occassion.
North End went through on penalties and Preston seem to be getting familiarised with the shoot out format after drawing almost all of their JPT games since returnign to the competiiton.
The club have confirmed that the area semi final will be away at Coventry on Thursday 10 January before the Sky television cameras. This means the weekend game against Walsall has been put back to Sunday.
