Poor Preston Scrape Point

03 April 2010 17:25
THis will probably the shortest match report of the year as two poor sides failed to break each other down in what proved a frustrating afternoon. Watford took the lead in the first half and that was about the only highlight with Sedgewick going off injured and Preston lacking in any real quality going forward up the field. Mellor came on for Parkin at5 half time and Preston were soon level thanks to what proved to be the move of the match. A good final ball was played in and Davidson surprised most by heading home in the corner with a good finish. After that Lonergan kept Preston in the game with one fantastic save and various routine matters to keep the score level. James tried to create from the midfield but Preston were very lacklustre although they now face the propsect of Palace away who are int he bottom three.
