PNE's history in the Football League Trophy
With the start of the Johnstone Paints Trophy tonight we look back at the history of the competition for the Lilywhites Now in it's 28th season the Football League Trophy has had nine different titles starting with the Associate Members Cup in 1983/84. Preston played in the first 17 season but only managed to reach the Northern Final twice, both times losing and failing to reach the Grand Final at Wembley.
